James Maxstadt, owner of Greenweald Publishing, LLC, lives in Burlington, NC with his beautiful wife Barbara and their dog Remi.

James discovered fantasy writers at an early age and has been hooked ever since. He first read "The Lord of the Rings" in junior high and has remained convinced to this day that they are the best books ever written. Terry Pratchett and Glen Cook are huge influences on his writing, and he hopes that's reflected in the Duke Grandfather stories.

When not working, James will be found performing a home renovation project (thanks to the skills his father taught him a long time ago,) watching something mindless on TV, or reading a great book.
